Ready discounts
Define your discounts once: a percentage or a fixed amount, on the whole bill or on an item, with a cap if you want one. They appear to the cashier as ready buttons on the discount screen.
A ready discount in one tap, a coupon with its conditions, and buy-one-get-one offers, all worked out on the bill and in the reports with nothing calculated by hand.
A cashier gives a friend a discount, the opening-week coupon still works a month later, and an offer worked out by hand comes out wrong, once for the guest and once against them. At month end you do not know how much you discounted or why.
In Loqma, a discount is something defined: its percentage or amount and its cap, and a coupon has its days, hours and usage limit. A cashier needs permission to discount, and a discount that needs justifying does not apply without a reason.

Four quick percentages in one tap for the usual cases, or type the discount as an amount or a percentage. The screen states that the percentage is worked out on the items before any discount.
A discount you mark as needing a reason only applies with one: a late order, a wrong order, a customer complaint, hospitality, or a reason the cashier types. A sensitive discount takes a deliberate decision, never a stray tap.
Each coupon has a code, the days of the week and hours it works, a start and end date, a minimum order, and a total usage limit and one per customer. Once its time or count runs out, it is refused.
Beyond a plain discount: buy this and get that free or discounted, a discount for buying a set quantity of an item, a discount once the bill passes an amount, and free delivery that removes the delivery fee.
If an item is added or voided after the discount, a ready or typed discount is worked out again on the new bill. A coupon keeps the value it was applied at.

Yes. Create a buy-and-get offer: set the items the guest buys and the quantity, the items they get and how many, and the discount on them (100% means free). The offer applies at the till by its code.
Give the discount permission only to those you choose, and mark sensitive discounts as needing a reason. The cashier cannot apply them without picking or typing a reason, and every discount applied shows in the discounts report.
Yes. Set the days of the week, a from-to time, and a start and end date. Outside that window the coupon is refused.
Not at the moment. Coupons apply at the till, and the online store has no coupon field.
Every offer has a code that the cashier enters on the order, and ready discounts are buttons the cashier presses. So no discount ever applies without someone deciding it.
In the reports: the discounts report lists every discount applied, and the sales report shows the period's total discounts beside gross and net.
